Student FAQS

How do I Login into the Computer?

Students will need to use their MyGator credentials to access all Library computers. When accessing our resources from off-campus, the same login is needed for accessing databases and E-books. If you need help with a password, call the Help Desk at 409-882-3033, email them at HelpDesk@lsco.edu, or visit them in AC Room 101. 

Does the Library have Printers?

Yes. Printing is free for students. There are 5 printers located on the first floor and two on the second floor. 

Does the Library print in color?

No. The Library does not have printers that print in color, only in black and white. The LSCO Print Shop will print color prints for a relative fee. Please contact the LSCO print shop for more details at 409-882-3359.

Does the Library have Study Rooms?

Yes. The library has four study rooms that students can use on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

Where do I get my Student ID?

Student IDs are made on the first floor of the library. Students must bring a receipt from the cashier's office on the third floor, verifying that they paid for their classes before an ID can be made. 

Does the Library have Wi-Fi?

Yes. Students can log in to the Wi-Fi by using their MyGator credentials. If you need help, stop by the LSCO Help Desk located in AC 101, in the Academic Building.

Does the Library have Scanners?

Yes. The library has two scanners in the library. One is located on the first row of computers in the 1st-floor front lab, and the other one is on the last table in the 1st-floor back lab, or R131. 

Where do I return my books during holidays?

Books can be dropped in the Library Drop-Box located in front of the library building's entrance. 

Public FAQS

Do I have to be a student to use the Computers?

Members of the Public must present a form of ID at the Circulation Desk to access Computers reserved for Public use. Users have an hour time limit and can print up to 5 pages. 

Does the Library print in color?

No. The Library does not have printers that print in color, only in black and white. The LSCO Print Shop will print color prints for a relative fee. Please contact the LSCO print shop for more details at 409-882-3359.

Can I make Copies here?

The LSCO Library does not make copies for members of the public. For copies, please see the Orange Public Library, located at 220 5th Street, Orange, TX. 

Can I check out Books from the library?

Members of the Public must present a form of ID and a valid city of Orange Public Library Card to be allowed to check out books.
