Career Research

Choosing a career can be difficult. There are many questions to ask about each career that will impact whether you decide it is a path you can or want to follow or not. Questions like:

  • What kind of education is required?
  • Will I need special skills?
  • How much does this job pay in this area?
  • Is this job available in this area, or will I need to move?
  • What does a typical day look like for someone in this career?

These are all questions that can be answered by doing research using the resources on this page and by visiting the "Career Center" section, located on the second floor of the library behind the Gator Sucess Center desk. This is a great place to browse for books about different careers, creating resumes, succeeding at job interviews, and other topics that will help you stand out as a job applicant.

If you need some research help, contact one of our librarians by emailing lscolibrary@lsco.edu.
