Manufacturing, Mechanical, and Maintenance Program Guide: Finding Books

Find Books

Search the Catalog for print titles found in the campus library. Note the Call Number and Location of any titles you wish to check out.

Search GatorSearch for eBook titles. Limit your source type to "eBooks" after entering your initial search.

Search eBook Central for eBook titles.

Search Overdrive for eBooks and Audiobooks.

Browsing the Shelves

Our library uses the Library of Congress Classification System to order our books. When looking a book up in the catalog, the call number will look something like LB 2395 .C65 1995, or K 3240 .F88 2000. If you have trouble locating a book even with the call number, the reference librarian at the first-floor desk will be happy to assist you.

If you'd like to browse the shelves, you can use this chart to locate what area the subject you're looking for will be in. For instance, most books on engineering will be found in the T area, while books on electrical work will be found in the TK area.
